American family values issues

Both of the major political parties in America like to believe that they have a monopoly, the market cornered, so to speak, on American family values. The Republicans believe that protecting marriage as an institution between a man and a woman is in alignment with the true ethics and moral values of families in America. Democrats believe that extensive gun control legislation protects families in America. A new book, written by Ricardo Planas and available for free download on this site, asks the question, "What are family values?" It also asks other related questions in a search to understand why the true ideals of most American families do not fit inside party lines, and why those ethics and moral values are not properly represented in the political realm.

So, what are family values?

The truth of the matter is, there is no simple answer to that question. American family values are not easily defined, because of the large amount of diversity in the country along racial, class, social, and religious/secular lines. What are family values in America? It's probably different for every one of the millions of families in the country. Because of this, politicians seeking to capitalize on morality and value-based issues often exclude much of the population, and each party's focus on a certain set of answers to a certain set of predetermined questions leads to a lack of proper representation for the majority.

Politics, ethics, and moral values

"I'm Right, You're Wrong! NO You're Wrong, I'm Right!" is the new book by Dr. Ricardo Planas, a Ph.D. graduate of The George Washington University in Political Science. As a senior political analyst, he has seen first-hand how ethics and moral values have been exploited by political parties in their fight for power, and his book offers solutions to these problems and more.
